At the helm of it all is an equally powerful duo Nate and Jen. A husband and wife, whom after a few healthy pours around a campfire, and boisterous laughs, came up with a memorable ‘mobster’ nickname for a family member… Johnny Pickles. Thus using that name to become a part of the larger Texas whiskey family and community.

With releases like the Firehouse, Breakfast Whiskey, and more recently their award winning Red Stinger (a Hibiscus flavored whiskey) and their Loose Cannon Straight Bourbon, Johnny Pickles continues to show their presence isn’t a laughing manner. With special thanks to one of the many, and uber important, women in whiskey, Jen Foreman has made a name for herself as being the Mad Scientist in Seguin. More than just a founder she has led the colorful team at Johnny Pickles since the beginning. As head distiller, Jen has put hands on every grain, every batch, every run, and every barrel, truly pouring her heart and soul into every bottle.

Jen and Nate’s actions and style of distilling is what makes Texas whiskey genuinely revolutionary. Starting back from the roots, based around a story around a campfire. Finding a home in sweet Seguin, Johnny Pickles, a true mobster name, reminds you to be present as you see history in the making.
