The Texas Whiskey Trail
Trailblazer program Q&A
Why the Trail is simpler than ever.
We’ve cut the clutter. No app. No points. No keeping track. Just you, a distillery, and a glass of Texas whiskey. That’s the trail.
Why is the Trail doing away with the app?
Because it was a money pit. The app cost a fortune to keep alive, and half the time it didn’t even work right. Like any piece of tech, it always needed fixing, patching, and updating. Instead of pouring dollars into an app, we’re putting that energy where it belongs—telling the world about Texas whiskey and the distilleries making it.
Why no more points?
Because no one used them. Over a couple of years, only a handful of folks ever cashed them in. Running a whole system to track, tally, and maintain points nobody cared about just didn’t make sense. So, we ditched it.
What happens to my points?
You still have them. Points stopped accumulating on January 1, 2025. Whatever you earned before then is yours to redeem for merch. Just be patient—we sold out completely and are restocking.
How do I redeem my points once merch is available again?
Easy. Email info@texaswhiskeytrail.com and we’ll help you get squared away.
Other questions you might be asking:
Do I need to check in anymore?
Nope. No check-ins. No app. No fuss. Just show up, order a pour, and enjoy.
Will there be another rewards program in the future?
Only the future knows. But right now, the real reward is the whiskey and the experience. We’d rather keep things simple than weigh you down with points, logins, fees and screens.
How do I keep up with the Trail now?
Through our email newsletter and social media. That’s where you’ll hear about new distilleries, special events, and all things Texas whiskey Trail.
What’s the best way to do the Trail now?
Plan a trip. Pick a region. Visit a distillery. Meet the people. Taste their whiskey. That’s the magic—it’s always been about the whiskey, not the points.
Am I still being charged for the Trailblazer membership?
Nope. No one has been charged for the current year, and no one will be charged for future years for this program.
